Eco Log Splitters

Comprehensive range to suit all needs
The Ryetec range of Eco splitters offer an economical choice for most light to heavy domestic uses

Eco 50 - an effective 5 ton electric splitter on a light, easily manoeuvred horizontal frame, offering splitting at a convenient waist height

Eco 60 - a more robust vertical type machine with a 5.5 ton splitting force and continuous running electric motor

Eco 80 - a heavier duty and more powerful vertical 7 ton electric splitter, complete with cross wedge

Eco 80 B6 - the same heavier duty build and splitting force of the Eco 80 but operated by a 6.5hp Briggs and Stratton petrol engine for more remote use

Eco 50
The smallest machine in Eco range, the Eco 50 offers a powerful 5 ton splitting force on a horizontal platform. The machine can be used at ground level but is also supplied with a stand for use at waist height, as shown in the photo. It can split logs up to 520mm in length and has an adjustable push plate on the splitting ram which can be altered when splitting shorter logs to save time. Splitting is controlled by a push button on the motor and a hydraulic valve lever. Both must be operated simultaneously for the machine to work to avoid any possibility of the operator being trapped when splitting.

Eco 60
The vertical build of the Eco 60 and Eco 80 gives more control over the split logs which, instead of falling to the ground as with the horizontal design, can be left on the splitting table for further splits if required. The Eco 60 has a large electric motor which runs continuously with the splitting action controlled by two sturdy levers which also act as grips for the logs. Pushing down on both levers operates the axe which automatically returns to the start position when the levers are released. The height of the start position can be set by the operator to the exact length of the logs being split by a simple screw. A variable height table allows logs of up to 1 metre in length to be split. All models have two rear wheels for ease of movement, external on the Eco 60, internal on the Eco 80 Robust lever controls on vertical splitters.

Eco 80 and Eco 80 B6
The Eco 80 combines a larger and stronger frame than the Eco 60 with a powerful 7 ton splitting force making it ideal for harder and knottier wood. The extra power of the Eco 80 means it can make full use of the cross wedge supplied with these machines, allowing logs to be cut into four with one stroke. The cross wedge is easily and quickly removed for tackling harder and more awkward logs. The standard Eco 80 is electrically operated whereas the Eco 80 B6 has a Briggs and Stratton Vanguard Commercial 6.5hp 4 stroke petrol engine.

Standard features on vertical machines

The starting height of the axe can be set by the operator to the exact length of the logs being split by a simple screw.
The Eco 80 operates in exactly the same way as the Eco 60 but also benefits from adjustable log grips.
