When Simon Woodall, Ground Maintenance Supervisor for Poole Borough Council first had a demonstration with a Ryetec Contractor collector five years ago he also had demonstrations with other competitive machines. Such was the performance of the Ryetec machine, in Simons view it completely out classed all comers and a C2000CHS Ryetec heavy duty flail collector was purchased. Since then this machine has spent it’s time clearing unwanted scrub, gorse and grass around the borough of Poole.

After five years faithful service and encounters with material upto 3” in diameter (which it was designed for) and probably quite a lot a material much bigger than that, it was time for some serious renovation or a replacement machine. It was decided that a replacement would be sought and Simon approached Ryetec as he had been more than happy with the machines performance over it’s five year life and having kept a close eye on the market could see that nothing else would or could do the same job.

Simon was surprised that Ryetec were interested his old machine which he intended to dispose of in a local sale, following negotiations a part exchange deal was struck leaving Simon with a brand new machine much cheaper than he expected and Ryetec with a machine ready for a full factory refurbishment. The new machine now delivered, Ryetec are busy breathing new life into the old faithful servant, following a complete strip down and any repairs required to the frame work, the frame is sand blasted and repainted in a tough powder coat finish just as it did when it left the factory brand new five years earlier. Mechanically, the machine has replacement of main components such as the flail rotor along with all main bearings and a reconditioning of the gearbox, if fact it’s hard to tell it from a new machine now it even has a full 12 months warranty ! Existing customers can have their own machines put through this rebuild process to a give a virtually new machine for around half the price.
