WOW! CHECK OUT THE BRAND NEW RYETEC WORKBOXES | EXCLUSIVE FACTORY TOUR AT RYETEC HQ

The visit begins in Ryetec’s main workshop, where George Saunders and the Ryetec team walk the guests through each stage of the build, from the first laser-cut components to the final painted finish. Every Ryetec Workbox is made entirely in-house, using local suppliers and precision fabrication to maintain the brand’s trademark quality.

George explains how Ryetec began over 30 years ago, originally importing agricultural and forestry machinery from Europe before expanding into manufacturing. Over the past few years, Ryetec has rapidly grown its own product line, producing hundreds of front boxes, Restorer low-disturbance subsoilers, and other machinery that now serve farmers, contractors, and councils across the UK.

During the tour, the visitors learn how the company’s engineering philosophy is built on quality over quantity. Ryetec focuses on strong build quality, clean design, and practicality rather than competing on price. Each workbox is designed for real-world use, offering front-end storage and additional ballast while maintaining compact dimensions.

At the time of filming, Ryetec had already produced more than 60 boxes that year, following record demand after LAMMA. The team discuss how the first prototypes were launched at LAMMA 2020, and how the product line has since evolved with new options, finishes, and attachments.

The visitors explore the Compact Workboxes and Contractor Boxes, noting their versatile design and storage capacity. Many customers, including the Coxalls team, use them to carry spares, tools, and workshop essentials directly into the field, reducing downtime. Ryetec’s sealed construction prevents dust and moisture ingress, keeping tools dry and clean, a small detail that makes a big difference.

George also showcases the belly weight system, which allows users to add or remove additional weight underneath the box without using up internal space. It’s a fast, practical solution for operators who want flexibility between ploughing, transport, and general fieldwork.

As the tour continues, the group visit the fabrication and paint departments. They see the subsoiler frames, crop rollers, and workbox components being assembled by hand. George explains that while Ryetec could automate welding, they prefer skilled human craftsmanship for its precision and feedback. Each part is built by experienced engineers who know how to spot and correct potential design improvements.

In the paint booth, the guests watch how Ryetec handles custom colours, from standard orange and grey to John Deere green, Case red, and black finishes. The booth maintains a steady 23°C temperature and bakes each component up to 80°C to create a durable, even finish. Every box leaves the factory in the customer’s chosen colour scheme, complete with optional backlit nameplates and LED lighting.

The visitors also learn about Ryetec’s other products, including the Restorer ALD-E subsoiler, Forestry Log Splitters, and Peruzzo flail collectors. George explains how the business balances UK manufacturing with imported specialist equipment, ensuring consistent quality across all ranges.

By the end of the tour, the Coxalls team witness how every machine reflects Ryetec’s core values: British-built quality, thoughtful design, and practical innovation. Before signing off, they reveal a special 10% discount code (COXALL10) for anyone purchasing a front box or workbox before the end of April, a gesture that captures Ryetec’s ongoing commitment to its loyal farming community.
