MEET THE BEAST | RYETEC’S MOST POWERFUL SUBSOILER YET

The video introduces the first 7-metre Restorer HD Toolbar in operation, working alongside the formidable John Deere 9RX. This marks a new generation in Ryetec’s low disturbance subsoiler range, developed for modern tractors and demanding working environments.

Part of the expanding HD line, the new Restorer Toolbar is available in 6, 7, and 8 metre configurations. Each model is built around the same 6-metre centre frame with bolt-on extensions that increase the working width as required. The modular approach allows operators to adapt quickly between field sizes, ensuring maximum flexibility without compromising frame integrity.

The HD Toolbar features 14 legs spaced at 500 mm with a 260 mm point-to-point stagger, providing smooth soil flow and consistent ground penetration. The heavy-duty frame tips the scales at 4.4 tonnes, nearly double the weight of Ryetec’s standard 6-metre toolbar, reinforcing its suitability for high-horsepower tractors.

Like all Restorer models, the HD Toolbar includes Ryetec’s pivoting leg and disc system, a key design element that allows the machine to follow the contour of the ground and the movement of articulated tractors such as the John Deere 9RX. This flexibility ensures even depth control across the full working width, reducing strain on both tractor and implement.

At the front, a cutting disc system slices through surface trash and crop residue, opening a narrow slot for the leg to follow. This design helps minimise soil disturbance while maintaining effective loosening, ideal for conservation and reduced-tillage systems. The CS150 legs are fitted as standard, while the featured model was also supplied with NG wearing-shin legs, capable of working down to depths of 16 inches in tougher soil conditions.

Depth adjustment is straightforward via the pin-lock mechanism, allowing quick fine-tuning in the field. The toolbar also includes a heavy-duty hydraulic rear linkage, giving operators full control of following implements. This allows companion tools such as rollers or drills to remain level and active when lifting at headlands.

Built for flexibility, the HD Toolbar can be equipped with rear-mounted packer rollers to create a self-contained subsoiling unit or fitted with seeding systems for cover crop establishment. The new HD range represents the next step in Ryetec’s evolution, offering greater strength, capacity, and precision for today’s high-horsepower farms.

Marking its first outing, this 7-metre machine was delivered to Gary and the team at Davidson Farm, supplied through Sam at Tuckwell’s, one of Ryetec’s trusted dealer partners. The collaboration showcases how Ryetec’s dealer network works closely with farmers to match the right machine to their needs.

Engineered for performance, durability, and cost efficiency, the Restorer HD Toolbar is built to help farmers reduce establishment costs and maximise yields. It embodies everything Ryetec stands for: British innovation, technical excellence, and real-world performance.
